Scandic Holmenkollen Park is a conference and hotel complex located in Holmenkollen, Oslo. Its history dates back to the late 19th century, when surgeon Ingebrigt Christian Holm established the Holmenkollen Tourist Hotel and later built a sanatorium completed in 1894. This sanatorium, known as the “Dragon Building,” is an example of Norwegian dragestil architecture and remains part of the hotel today. Over the years, the property has been affected by fires, reconstructions, and extensive modernizations, gradually developing into a full-scale hotel and conference venue, with major upgrades linked to events such as the 1982 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. Formerly part of the Rica hotel chain, it became a Scandic hotel in 2014.
