Gressholmen is a small island in the Oslofjord, known for its rich nature and peaceful atmosphere just minutes from the city. Once home to Oslo’s seaplane airport and an old industrial past, the island is now a protected recreational area with meadows, forest paths, rocky shores, and plenty of birdlife. Visitors can enjoy swimming, hiking, and picnicking in a quiet, car-free environment. Gressholmen is also connected by bridges to the neighboring islands of Heggholmen and Rambergøya, making it easy to explore a larger island area on foot.
