          Fuglemyrhytta

          • Fuglemyrhytta

          • Fuglemyrhytta is a self-service cabin operated by the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT) and is located in Nordmarka, just outside Oslo. The cabin offers ten beds and is renowned for its unique architectural design by Snøhetta, featuring large windows that provide stunning views of the Oslo Fjord and Nesoddlandet. Accessible year-round, Fuglemyrhytta is situated approximately 2 kilometers from Skådalen Metro Station, making it one of Norway's most visited urban tourist cabins. The journey to the cabin takes visitors through ancient forests that have remained untouched for over a century, enhancing the experience of connecting with nature. While the cabin is equipped for self-catering with gas burners, wood-burning stoves, and solar-powered lighting, it does not have running water or electricity. Guests are advised to bring their own bedding and drinking water, as water must be sourced from a nearby stream. Fuglemyrhytta is a popular destination for both day hikes and overnight stays, offering a peaceful retreat with panoramic views, making it a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts and hikers.
