The Oslo Opera House (Operahuset i Oslo) is a striking modern landmark located on the waterfront of Oslo, Norway. Designed by the Norwegian architectural firm Snøhetta and completed in 2008, the building is famous for its angled, white exterior that rises directly from the Oslo Fjord, creating the illusion of an iceberg. Visitors can walk up the sloping marble roof to enjoy panoramic views of the city and harbor. Home to the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, as well as the Norwegian National Opera Theatre, the Opera House is celebrated both for its innovative architecture and as a cultural hub for performances and events.
