Oslo University Hospital, Radiumhospitalet is a specialized cancer hospital in Oslo, Norway, recognized as the country’s leading center for cancer treatment and research. It opened in 1932 as the Norwegian Radium Hospital, focusing primarily on radiation therapy and oncology. Today, it forms one of the main campuses of Oslo University Hospital, following mergers with other major hospitals in 2005 and 2009. In addition to advanced patient care, Radiumhospitalet conducts extensive research including clinical trials, immunotherapy, precision medicine, and cancer genetics. The hospital has recently expanded with a modern clinical building and is developing Norway’s first proton therapy center to provide more precise and gentle cancer treatment.
